Practice manager at Northwell Health managing a Nephrology ambulatory practice.

What is a trait you admire most when you see it in your colleagues?

Courage to lead during challenging times.

What is your favorite book that gave you insight into your career?

Hands down my favorite book, given to me by my mentor, is Teaming by Amy Edmondson

What is a career achievement you are most proud of?

All the people I’ve hired, mentored, taught and trained and had the pleasure of watching them succeed and be promoted.

What does it look like for you to ‘unplug’ from work?

Vacation & Traveling with my kids & family.

What drove you to pursue Fellow status?

Amazing mentors and sponsors that I wanted to emulate.

What do you believe is the greatest benefit you have gotten from being an ACHE member?

Networking & meeting lifelong professional colleagues who have became my friends.

What advice do you have for young professionals considering a career in healthcare?

Don’t be afraid to take on new challenges. And if you don’t know something, speak up and learn it. It’s your time to grow and know that you’ll make mistakes and you’ll learn from those mistakes. Healthcare is tough and complicated. As a leader, you have to learn to work collaboratively along side your clinical colleagues.
