Congratulations to Connecticut’s New Regent-Elect!

October 29, 2018

Congratulations to Connecticut’s newest Regent-Elect, Denise Fiore, FACHE!

On behalf of current Connecticut Regent Kurt Barwis, FACHE and CTAHE President Kimberly A. Lumia, MSN, MBA, RN, FACHE, we would like to congratulate Denise Fiore, FACHE as Connecticut’s newest Regent-Elect, with her term commencing March 2019 for a three year period.

The Council of Regents is organized into six districts throughout the country, most of who are directly elected by Members, Fellows and Life Fellows. These district organizations work with chapters, the higher education network and others in the local healthcare community to deliver programs, products and services to healthcare executives, faculty, students and the supplier community as well as running elections for ACHE’s three Chairman Officers and 12 Governors.

Denise Fiore, FACHE is the Chief Operating Officer of Lawrence and Memorial Hospital, Senior Vice President of L+M Healthcare and Senior Vice President for Yale New Haven Health. L+M Healthcare,  an affiliate of Yale New Haven Health, includes Lawrence and Memorial Hospital in New London, Connecticut, Westerly Hospital in Westerly, Rhode Island and the VNA of South Eastern Connecticut.  She is responsible for directing, administering and coordinating the activities of L+M Healthcare in accordance with the goals and objectives established by the President and Board of Directors.    Denise has held a number of leadership positions within Yale New Haven Hospital during her career, most recently as VP of Clinical Services.  She is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and is a board member and treasurer for the Connecticut Association of Healthcare Executives.  She serves on Quinnipiac University’s Health Affairs Board of Fellows, and the University’s Center for Women and Business Advisory Council as well as the Board of the International Festival of Arts and Ideas in New Haven, Connecticut.  Denise earned a bachelor of science degree in Medical Technology in 1978 and a MBA with a concentration in Healthcare management in 1991 from Quinnipiac University.

CTAHE is honored to have Denise representing Connecticut’s members and interests among ACHE’s Leadership!
