CTAHE’s Virtual Annual Meeting: “Healthcare’s Paradigm Shift” – Thursday, June 18, 2020

June 18, 2020 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

CTAHE’s Virtual Annual Membership Meeting
Healthcare’s Paradigm Shift

Thursday, June 18th, 2020
5:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Program has been approved for 1.5 Hours of ACHE Qualified Education

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Annual CTAHE Membership Meeting, originally taking place at the Aqua Turf Club, will now be reimagined. In lieu of an in person gathering, CTAHE will be hosting a virtual annual meeting on June 18, inviting all of our members and sponsors to come together in a virtual environment to begin to heal from this unprecedented healthcare crisis.

A paradigm shift, as identified by the American physicist and philosopher Thomas Kuhn, is a fundamental change in the basic concepts and experimental practices of a scientific discipline. Paradigm shifts arise when the dominant paradigm under which normal science operates is rendered incompatible with new phenomena, facilitating the adoption of a new theory or paradigm.

It is imperative that every healthcare professional realizes the healthcare landscape has completely changed. Clinical skills and services alone will not see us through this new paradigm after COVID-19.

We must focus on improving the health outcomes, and the distribution of such outcomes, through quality improvement, improved workflows and systems of care within the communities we serve.

Before taking the helm of Health Equity Solutions (HES), she served as the Managing Director of Federal Government Affairs with the American Diabetes Association, where she provided strategic leadership on policy and advocacy initiatives with the White House, several federal agencies, and Congress, which led to important victories for people with and at risk for diabetes. Prior to this, Everette worked as a government relations consultant with Drinker, Biddle, and Reath, LLC, where she represented the interests of several nonprofit health care organizations on issues such as health reform, Medicare, Medicaid, and federal appropriations.
